U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette scored a win for Colorado and by Colorado on Thursday when the House Energy and Commerce Committee approved her bill to reinstate the federal methane rule that was first rolled out in Colorado.
Her bill, if it makes it to the president and into law, would invalidate President Donald Trump’s 2020 Methane Rescission Rule and reinstate two Obama-era rules that restricted methane emissions.

U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) announced today that a comprehensive transportation spending bill that's expected to advance in the House this week – known as the INVEST in America Act – includes nearly $20 million to fund three key projects in the Denver area.
The funding was included at the request of DeGette who sought the additional federal dollars to help improve the safety and efficiency of Denver's transportation network.
