Waxman and Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Ranking Member Diana DeGette sent a letter to Chairmen Fred Upton and Tim Murphy requesting a hearing on the impact of states' refusal to expand Medicaid coverage under the Affordable Care Act on uninsured Americans suffering from mental illness and substance abuse.

Visiting U.S. lawmakers on Tuesday called on Japan and South Korea to mend ties, saying the trilateral alliance involving the United States will become all the more important to deal with various challenges in Asia.
