WASHINGTON, D.C. – How much hydrogen cyanide can a refinery safely pump into the atmosphere without harming nearby residents? The Environmental Protection Agency does not know.

But that's not stopping a Suncor refinery located just 5 miles north of Denver's heavily-populated metro area from pumping more than 25,000 pounds of the highly-toxic chemical into the air each year for millions of residents to breathe in.

It's important to note that Space Command is not the United States Space Force, the space warfare military branch proposed by Donald Trump that's expected to cost some $800 million over the next five years to launch (no pun intended).

WASHINGTON, D.C. – They're called "junk" health care plans because they don't comply with the Affordable Care Act. They don't provide coverage for prescription drugs or maternity care or people with pre-existing conditions. And while they may be cheaper than more traditional health insurance plans, the coverage they actually provide to consumers is little to none - hence them being called "junk."

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) joined with several of her Democratic colleagues today to introduce legislation that would explicitly prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

The legislation – known as the Equality Act of 2019 – would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to grant LGBTQ Americans the same protections that the landmark legislation gives to others in regards to employment, education, access to credit, jury service, federal funding, housing, and public accommodations.
