WASHINGTON, D.C. – As the House of Representatives recessed for theholiday season, Energy and Commerce Committee Vice Chair Diana DeGette(D-CO) today released the following comments on the end of theCongressional session:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – With the health care ofmillions hanging in the balance, Congress today passed an extension ofthe Children's Health Care Insurance Program (SCHIP), S. 2499, theMedicare, Medicaid and SCHIP Extension Act, on a vote of 411 to 3.Energy and Commerce Committee Vice Chair Diana DeGette (D-CO) supportedthe measure.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Chief Deputy Whip Diana DeGette (D-CO) todayreaffirmed her commitment to ending the war in Iraq by opposing aSenate change to the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2007 thatprovides a blank check for the war in Iraq. The House agreed to theSenate change on a vote of 272 to 142.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – As Congress prepares torecess for the holidays, the House of Representatives today passedcomprehensive consumer product safety legislation – H.R. 4040, the Consumer Product Modernization Act of 2007– unanimously on a vote of 407 to 0.
