WASHINGTON, DC – In advance of General David Petraeus' Iraq progress report expected September 15th, Chief Deputy Whip Diana DeGette (D-CO) today renewed her strong support for a new direction in Iraq, including troop withdrawal timelines and political benchmarks for a quick and responsible end to the war.
WASHINGTON, DC - Energy and Commerce Committee Vice Chair Diana DeGette(D-CO) offered the following remarks on the release of today's U.S.Census Bureau's annual report on Income, Poverty, and Health InsuranceCoverage. The report showed the number American's uninsured hasincreased from 44.8 million in 2005 to 47 million in 2006, including anincrease in the number of uninsured children from 8 million to 8.7million.
