WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives today approved a massive new public lands bill that aims to permanently protect nearly three million acres across Colorado, California, Washington and Arizona.
The legislation – sponsored by U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) – is a collection of eight separate public lands bills the House approved last year – including DeGette's Colorado Wilderness Act to protect over 660,000 acres of wilderness in 36 unique areas across Colorado.

Diana DeGette (D-CO), chair of the House Energy and Commerce Oversight and Investigations panel – which oversees the nation's health agencies – announced today that the subcommittee will hold a hearing on Tuesday, February 23, to hear directly from the five leading manufacturers of COVID-19 vaccines on their efforts to ramp up production.
Officials from AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, Novavax, and Pfizer have all been called to testify at the fully remote hearing.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – A bipartisan group of lawmakers – led by U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) – introduced legislation today to provide billions of dollars in emergency relief to U.S. researchers to continue their important, federally-funded projects through the pandemic.
The legislation – known as the Research Investment to Spark the Economy, or RISE, Act – would provide $25 billion to independent research institutions, public laboratories and universities throughout the country to continue their work on thousands of federally-backed projects.
