Rep. DeGette Applauds Opening Of New Cherry Creek Post Office

Denver - US Representative Diana DeGette (D-CO) released the followingstatement regarding the opening of the new Cherry Creek Post at 201Columbine Street in Cherry Creek North in East Denver.

"I am extremely pleased the United States Postal Service is openingits new full service location in Cherry Creek starting October 1, rightnext to the existing Post Office, preserving their long term presencein Cherry Creek.

"I applaud the United States Postal Service for their tenacity infinding a location in Cherry Creek and the commitment of Denver CityCouncil President Jeanne Robb, the Cherry Creek North BusinessImprovement District, surrounding neighborhood associations, and themany citizens who have worked hard to maintain a Post Office in one ofDenver's premiere commercial and residential neighborhoods."

Rep. DeGette worked closely with the Cherry Creek community and theUnited States Postal Service in retaining a facility in the area forresidents and the community.
