DeGette statement on judge’s decision to block sale of mifepristone

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO), co-chair of the House Pro-Choice Caucus, released the following statement on a federal judge’s decision to block the sale of mifepristone nationwide:

"As we review the decisions that came down this evening the bottom line is this: Mifepristone was safe and effective when the FDA first approved it over 20 years ago and nothing about this decision will change that. As the co-chair of the Pro-Choice Caucus, my colleagues and I will never stop fighting to ensure everyone in this county has access to the full range of reproductive care – including medication abortion.”
