DeGette statement on impeachment vote

July 17, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. Following is a comment from U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) on her vote not to table, or kill, a resolution to impeach President Donald Trump:

"At some point, you have to say: enough is enough. Whether it's the facts laid out in the Mueller report, his recent racist remarks, his refusal to work with Congress, his tearing families apart, his attempts to rig our elections or the fear he's instilling in immigrant families across the country, the American people deserve better. It's beyond time to launch an impeachment inquiry and this bill should have been referred to the Judiciary committee for consideration."
