DeGette statement on H.RES. 894
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) released the following statement after voting against H.Res. 894:
“I strongly condemn all forms of antisemitism and the attacks against Jews domestically and internationally.
“I voted present on H.Res. 894, led by Rep. Kustoff (R-TN), because of the misleading way it’s written – a way that only inflames existing tensions.
“Earlier today, I cosponsored H.J.Res. 907, a resolution led by Reps. Nadler (D-NY), Raskin (D-MD), and Goldman (D-NY), because it accurately expresses my views. It condemns antisemitism, calls for the implementation of the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, and requests a bipartisan approach to address the problem of antisemitism meaningfully and substantively.”
