DeGette Lauds Coloradoans Selected For Inaugural Parade

Washington – U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) released the followingstatement with the news of the Presidential Inaugural Committee'sselection of two Colorado groups participation in the 2009 inauguralparade:

"I'm extremely pleased the Presidential Inaugural Committee hasselected two fine organizations from our great state of Colorado toparticipate in the 2009 inaugural parade. The spirit of the RockyMountain West will definitely be showcased among the world come thisJanuary. I commend both the Freedom Riders and the Windsor High SchoolMarching Band on their selection."

Today, the Presidential Inauguration Committee (PIC) released its firstwave of acts for the inaugural parade. The Freedom Riders from Kersey,CO and the Windsor High School Marching Band from Windsor, CO wereamong the organizations selected to participate.
