DeGette statement on Lawler Resolution 888

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) released the following statement after voting in favor of the Lawler Resolution 888 – which reaffirms the State of Israel’s right to exist:

“There can be no doubt that the State of Israel has a right to exist and today the U.S. House reaffirmed that.

“The Palestinian people have an equal right to their own state and governance. The international community should work together to establish a two-state solution and lasting peace in the region.”
