Help with a Federal Agency

As your Representative in Congress, I can submit congressional inquiries about issues you are having with a federal agency. Staff in my District Office are available to help constituents navigate a range of issues, including problems with Social Security and Veteran benefits, IRS tax returns, issuance and/or renewal of U.S. passports, and pending immigration cases.
However, my office cannot help on issues that do not involve a federal agency. Due to the Constitutional separation of powers, issues involving the courts, Colorado state agencies or local governments fall outside the jurisdiction of a United States Representative. To begin the process of opening a case with our office, federal law (Privacy Act of 1974) requires us to have a signed Privacy Release Form by the constituent requesting assistance.
